in schools and within neighbourhoods

better and are less costly when people trust each other and repeatedly
interact with each other
- it widens people's awareness of the ways in
which their fates are linked to each other
- the networks that constitute social capital
also serve as conduits for the flow of useful information that
facilitates the achievement of common goals
